Inclusive leadership expert Torin Perez is on a mission to help organizations realize the power of inclusion. As a passionate speaker and masterful facilitator, Torin uses his uplifting perspective and engaging style to inspire people to take personal responsibility in building workplace inclusion. He believes that when this happens, organizations can unlock the potential of diversity, open the doors to innovation, and create safe space for all to belong and thrive.
With his work grounded academically in Psychology and practically as a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and Accredited Mind Gym Coach, Torin has been invited to speak and facilitate learning experiences at over 30 organizations including Fortune 500 companies.
Torin has been building towards his vision for over a decade. When he was identified as a Posse Scholar for his demonstrated leadership potential, he committed to taking responsibility to exemplify leadership wherever he would go. From leading important dialogues in college through award-winning student organizations, to being recognized for leading significant employee affinity group membership growth at Bloomberg LP, Torin has consistently sought to bring the best out of others within his communities. In 2017, he was nominated for the Rosoff Award as a 20-something leading the way for his generation with a new vision for diversity & inclusion.
Torin is also a forthcoming author, writing to inspire personal exploration for those of us who seek to grow as leaders. His work is greatly inspired by his travels to over 20 countries and influence of his mentor, Frances Hesselbein, who was recognized with the Presidential Medal of Freedom as a pioneer for women, diversity, and opportunity. He is a StartingBloc Social Innovation Fellow, One Young World Ambassador, and TED Resident. Through the TED Residency incubator for breakthrough ideas, Torin joined an interdisciplinary network of global thinkers and did a TED Talk about his vision for DreamAfrica – an inclusion project focused on celebrating cultural diversity in animations and films from around the world.
He is an alumnus of Lafayette College where he graduated with a Major in Psychology and Minor in Economics & Business.
